Our innovative milling process combines age-old knowledge with modern techniques. We gently mill and press the oil in optimal cold temperatures to preserve as many of the precious natural phenols as possible and the result is a superior quality olive oil that surpasses any international standards.

Firstly brought on the island of Corfu by the ancient Corinthians around 730 BC, lianolia olive trees exist nowadays exclusively on the island of Corfu. Belonging to the wild category of oleo craneomorpha, it produces olives only once every two years. Due to its large expansion of up to 14 meters wide, the Venetians that occupied Corfu used to plant these olive trees in order to fortify the island from pirate invasions. Due to this reason, Corfu has the only olive tree rainforest in the world.

Local sea life on entering this zone, you will find yourselves surrounded by Mediterranean species such as sea bream, sea bass, mullet, grouper, and scorpionfish. You will also come across lobsters, starfish, crabs, and even an octopus. All the animals you will view in this zone can be found around Corfu and the Mediterranean Sea. International reptiles in this zone, you will see a range of reptiles from all over the world. Starting from lizards to snakes, turtles and even a crocodile! Reptiles are a class of vertebrates made up mostly of snakes, turtles, lizards, and crocodilians. These animals are most easily recognized by their dry, scaly skin. Almost all reptiles are cold-blooded and most lay eggs though some, like the boa constrictor, give birth to live young. Some of the reptiles you will meet in our reptile zone have been rescued from animal welfare organizations across Greece and have been rehomed in our aquarium. Amphibians are a diverse and exciting class of animals that include frogs, toads, salamanders, newts, and caecilians. Those names refer to the two lives that many amphibians live one in water during their larval stage and the other on land during their adult stage. Amphibians are vertebrate animals (have a backbone) like fish, mammals, reptiles, and birds. They are cold-blooded, which means their body temperature is regulated by their surrounding temperature. Amphibians are also characterized by their smooth, slimy skin and their lack of scales, feathers, or hair. Their skin is permeable and many amphibians breathe through their skin instead of through their lungs.
